Winner Germany’s Martina Ertl (C) is flanked by second placed Anja Paerson (L) of Sweden and third placed Spain’s Maria Jose Rienda Contreras as they celebrate on podium after the World Cup women_s giant slalom race in Soelden, 24 October 2003. Ertl ended a three-year winning drought on Saturday by dominating the World Cup season-opening giant slalom. Placed second after the first run, Ertl posted a combined total of 2 minutes 31.86 seconds on the sun-drenched Austrian course.
